Patricia S. Meisner, Co-Founder and CEO

Patricia brings 25 years of executive operating experience from both early stage and mature companies  in the medical device, diagnostics, life science companies, including Invitrogen, T Cell Sciences and Sigma Aldrich Corporation.  She has brought multiple new products to market in the areas of HIV monitoring; cancer diagnostics, pharmaceutical drug discovery.  Prior to founding AdhereTx , Patricia founded RedTail Solutions, a Software as a Service (SaaS) company serving middle-market manufacturers in the global supply chain. While serving as its CEO (2000-2008), she established a new revenue and business model in this segment and built a capital-efficient business that achieved  profitability in 2007. Patricia holds a B.A. degree in Biology from Kenyon College, an M.S.  in Biochemistry and an M.B.A. from Case Western Reserve University.

Anne Marie Biernacki, Co-Founder and CTO

CTO and Co-Founder  Anne Marie Biernacki  has prior experience in  today’s rapidly evolving  e-health sector, as well as being a successful  technology and operations executive and career entrepreneur with over 18 years of diverse experience in developing innovative systems.  Among other ventures,  she was part of the founding team of  an early e-health company acquired by Web MD, and had a successful exit with consumer technology company Digiticians, which she co-founded and self- funded. She is skilled in the development of platforms and operations for the Web 2.0 environment and at integrating business drivers and technology solutions, especially rules-based systems.

Previously, she was Executive Vice President/ Chief Informatics Systems Officer at IC Sciences.  Anne Marie holds a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Dayton and an M.S. in EE from Tufts University. She was a Draper Fellow at the Charles Stark Draper Laboratory.

Patricia J Neafsey, Co-Founder and Principal Scientist

Patricia J. Neafsey, RD, PhD is a pharmacologist, registered dietitian and professor in the Center for Health Intervention and Prevention (CHIP) and the School of Nursing at the University of Connecticut. She has undergraduate and master’s degrees in nutritional biochemistry from Cornell University and a doctorate in pharmaceutical science from the University of Connecticut. She received her post-doctoral training at Tufts University. She is an author on over 100 peer reviewed publications and was the principal investigator on grants (totaling over 1.3 million from the University of Connecticut Research Foundation, the Donaghue Medical Research Foundation, and the NIH National Heart Lung and Blood Institute) that funded the development and testing of a computer-based intervention to improve patient adherence to antihypertensive regimens and reduce adverse self-medication behaviors. The International Medical Informatics Society gave her research team a “Best of Medical Informatics” citation in 2003.

Peter Costello, Executive Vice President Business Development

Peter has 17 years experience in health care and technology. Previously, he was Vice President of Web and eBusiness at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts and Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Excellus Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Rochester, NY. Peter cofounded two technology based start-ups, IPC which developed high technology packaging solutions for the DVD industry and MBS Solutions which developed employer decision support systems to predict the outcomes of using high deductible health plans to self fund benefit plans. Prior to his industry experience, Peter served as an officer and aviator in the United States Navy. He received his bachelor’s degree from Providence College and his MBA from the University of Illinois
