Implementation and Client Services: Director to VP Level

An Implementation and Client Services  Specialist is responsible for all ActualMeds product offering implementation activities. Responsibilities include provisioning and support of enterprise user accounts and  active involvement in account management, project planning, customer training, and post-implementation support. The Implementation Specialist works with members of the sales and the product development teams. An Implementation Specialist interacts directly with ActualMeds’s customers, partners, and internal personnel to ensure customer needs are satisfied, implementation plans are well defined and executed, and the status of customer needs are communicated considering the requirements of all parties. An Implementation Specialist will utilize their strong healthcare background, information technology and customer communications experience to ensure customer needs are satisfied in a timely manner. Additionally, an Implementation Specialist must be able to assist with ActualMeds pre-sales engagements either via providing input necessary for addressing prospective needs or participating in pre-sales communications with prospective customers.

The person in this role will also have the opportunity to represent the customer’s requirements to the product management, development, and QA teams.

An Implementation Specialist must have excellent technical, troubleshooting, customer interaction, and project management skills. Implementation Specialists are measured on their ability to establish and maintain successful implementations at customer sites.


BS in a healthcare (pharmacy, nursing, etc) or technical discipline or equivalent experience

Minimum of 5 years experience working directly with customers in support of complex enterprise-class healthcare information technology solutions

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Expertise with common information technologies deployed in healthcare settings, including care coordination, electronic health record, disease management and practice management systems

Experience creating and editing  .csv and XML data files

Willing to travel 45% of the time

Demonstrated success multi-tasking and prioritizing based on business demands

Must work comfortably and successfully in an environment with frequent changes in priorities

Experience developing and executing quality assurance tests


Define and document solution implementation requirements

Configure products to satisfy defined implementation requirements

Manage customer engagements from customer signing through successful implementation, including project management, customer training, acceptance testing, and deployment requirements

Transition successfully implemented accounts to operational status

Work collaboratively with management, product development, and sales/business development for large customer engagements.

Perform onsite and remote customer training

Coordinate the implementation of 3rd party vendor requirements as needed

Develop project planning, implementation, and training materials for new products and releases.

Provide product usability and customer requested features to the product management and development teams

Provide input into the product and solution QA process, including development of test plans or supplemental test cases for implemented product features

Track and report on key performance indicators related to implementation
